If this is your first time to plug the mic, your device will make a sound and a notification just like the one below 👇👇👇
In this sample, we plug in a TYPE C Lapel WITH EARPHONE, TYPE C LAPEL MIC WITH OUTPORT FOR EARPHONE, USB LAPEL MIC, USB LAPEL MIC WITH SINGLE EARPHONE, USB-A + TYPE C DUAL LAPEL MIC.
But how would you know if the lapel mic you bought is working:
- Go to Control Panel
- Under Hardware & Printers ➡️ Devices and Printers
- Click the UC02 or WORD FORUM USB
Double-click the UC02 or Word Forum USB and this will appear 👇👇👇
Please check the Device Status and this should appear: The device is working properly.
Another way to test if the lapel is to do the following steps:
- Go to Computer Settings.
- Double Click Sound
- Scroll down and look for the input device.
- Test Mic
There should me a movement in the line as highlighted above when you make sound using your mic.
Also please make sure that the mic INPUT settings is in its MAXIMUM SETTINGS to ensure better recording, please go to : COMPUTER SETTINGS - SYSTEM - SOUND - INPUT - DEVICE PROPERTIES.
Click the DEVICE PROPERTIES, some device has a default setting in which MICROPHONE VOLUME is set to 0
Set the MIC VOLUME to MAXIMUM SETTINGS to get the desired VOICE RECORDING. See below:
